Highlights for the 3 Days Akagera Wildlife Safari
Day 1: Transfer to Akagera
Following your breakfast at your hotel in Kigali, will be met by your safari guide at 0800 am, have a short briefing about your trip, visit Kigali genocide memorial ground and later transfer and head to Akagera which is 2 hour’s drive away from Kigali, located in the Easter side of the country. You will reach the park and enjoy and en route ride to your lodge, and have lunch. After lunch, head for afternoon game drive in the park in search for wildlife. Later return and relax before heading for a night game drive in search for the nocturnal. You will later return for dinner and overnight stay at Akagera Game Lodge. Meal Plan: Lunch & dinner
Day 2: Boat ride and game drive at Akagera
After having your early morning breakfast, you will drive heading for game drive in the southern sector of the park, and later return, have lunch, before proceeding to Akagera and catch up with sunset boat ride at 4:30 pm. You will enjoy a wonderful boat ride, sighting a number of wildlife and bird species. You will later retire at your hotel for dinner and overnight stay at Akagera Game Lodge. Meal Plan: Full board
Day 3: Game drive and return to Kigali
Have your morning breakfast at the lodge and kick off, your game drive hunt, in search for the wildlife such as buffaloes, impalas, elephants, zebras, giraffes and much more. You drive will stretch to the northern side of the park, where much concentration of wildlife is sighted. A picnic lunch will be enjoyed during the course of the say, as you proceed with the game drive. As time pas by, at around evening ours, you will exit the park in the northern gate, and drive back to Kigali, reaching in the evening, and dropped at your hotel in Kigali or airport for you evening flight.
