Detailed Itinerary

Day 1: Arrival at Entebbe International Airport

When you arrive at Entebbe Airport, our safari driver will meet you and take you to your hotel in Entebbe for an overnight stay. Have dinner and overnight stay in Entebbe at Karibu Guest House. (D)

Day 2: Drive to Kibale Forest National Park

After breakfast, depart from Entebbe and travel through the country’s center (which center ?), passing through the rural towns of Mityana, Mubende, and Kyenjojo en route. Arrive in Fort Portal, the tourism city at the foot of the sweeping Rwenzori Mountains ranges, and have lunch. After lunch, continue along the rolling hillside past scenic Crater Lakes (like) to your lodge in Kibale Forest National Park.

After checking into the lodge, you will take on a fascinating night forest walk in search of bush babies, pottos, and other small nocturnal animals in the Park, return to your lodge for dinner and overnight at Turaco Treetop Lodge (FB)

Day 3: Trek Chimpanzees in Kibale

Early the next morning, set out into the tropical forests with Kibale’s rangers to trek the local chimpanzee population. Explore the forest as you go chimp trekking. View the chimps in their natural habitat and be amazed at how similar they are to humans. The adventure begins at 8:00 a.m. with a briefing about chimp trekking at Kanyanchu Tourism Center. You will also be assigned a chimp group to trek with, and you will set out into the forest to look for the primates.

Kibale Forest is well-known for having the greatest variety and number of primates in all of East Africa. While trekking through the tropical rainforest, you will also catch sights of black and white colobus monkeys, olive baboons, blue monkeys, red-tailed monkeys, wild chimps, and other wildlife. Day 4: Transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park

Say goodbye to Kibale Forest as you travel south through rich farmland on the slopes of Africa’s largest mountain range, the Rwenzori Mountain Ranges. Cross the equator before arriving at the Queen Elizabeth National Park. On arrival, drive straight to your lodge. Check-in and have lunch before relaxing.

In the late afternoon, embark on a game drive through Uganda’s prime game viewing region, keeping an eye out for elephants, buffaloes, Uganda Kobs, bushbucks, and waterbucks among others. antelopes, etc. Expect to most certainly find many of these grazing in the savannah grass. Return to your lodge in the evening. Dinner and overnight at Bush Lodge (FB)

Day 5: Full-day Game Viewing in Queen Elizabeth

Today, spend the whole day exploring the savannah plains of Queen Elizabeth on a search for the Park’s prime wildlife. Begin the day with a morning game drive to the mating grounds of the beautiful Uganda Kobs. Here you will also find predators such as lions, leopards, and hyenas. Before returning to the lodge for lunch, you will encounter buffaloes, lions, and elephants, among other wild animals, in their natural habitat.

Following lunch, you will take a boat ride on the Kazinga Channel, a natural channel that connects Lakes Edward and George. The cruise is one of the highlights of a Uganda safari to this Park. This is due to the abundance of birdlife seen, as well as the numerous elephants, buffaloes, and hundreds of hippos cooling off at the channel banks. Return to your lodge later. Day 6: Transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable Forest National Park

Following an early breakfast, travel south through the park’s Ishasha Plains, where you can take a short game drive to see the sector’s well-known tree-climbing lions. After seeing these brilliantly adapted creatures, you’ll leave the park and make your way through the rolling hills of central Africa to Bwindi Impenetrable Forest National Park. On arrival, check into your lodge and relax at Ichumbi Gorilla Lodge (FB)

Day 7: Gorilla Trekking in Bwindi

After breakfast, drive to the Park Headquarters for a briefing before embarking on your gorilla trek. This encounter with the peaceful giant gorillas will be the highlight of your safari. Be prepared to walk a long distance on the park’s steep muddy slopes, sometimes with rain overhead, before encountering the gorillas. However, when you finally get to see them, it will be well worth your time. You will adore these remarkable primates as you watch them in their natural environment. Dinner and overnight at

Day 8: Transfer to Lake Mburo National Park

With a packed lunch, depart this morning for Lake Mburo National Park via Mbarara City, the largest urban center in western Uganda. Continue to the park, keeping an eye out for herds of Ankole cattle en route. You will arrive at Lake Mburo in the late afternoon. Check into your lodge and relax.

In the evening go on a relaxing but exciting night drive in search of the nocturnal animals that live in Lake Mburo. Expect vistas of Hippos, Crocodiles, Buffaloes, Elephants, and a range of water birds including the African Fish Eagles and cormorants, among others.

Day 9: Morning Walking safari & Travel back to Kampala

Following breakfast, set out early in the morning with a Uganda Wildlife Authority guide and ranger for a walking safari. Lake Mburo National Park is a popular destination for walking safaris due to the absence of big cats such as the lion. Walking excursions bring you closer to the zebras and giraffes, among other wild animals. Thus, providing a completely different experience compared to that in a game-drive vehicle.

After the safari walk, head back to the lodge for lunch. After lunch, check out of your lodge and drive back to Kampala/Entebbe. Make a stopover at the Equator Monument before proceeding to Entebbe. A fantastic photo opportunity as you cross from the southern to the northern hemispheres. You’ll arrive in Entebbe in the evening.
