Day 1; Arrival at Entebbe and transfer to Kampala

On arrival, a guide will be waiting for you at the airport and will transfer you to your hotel. You will check in and relax for the evening. Dinner and overnight at Cassia Lodge. Meals: Dinner

Day 2: Transfer to Jinja

After a restful night, you will be transferred to Jinja. En-route, you will stop at Mabira forest. Here, you will do zip lining over the forest. The line goes above the forest canopy. Its an exhilarating Uganda safari experience. We will then proceed to Jinja where you will check into the lodge. After lunch, you will head towards the source of the Nile. That’s where River Nile leaves Lake Victoria for its long journey to the Mediterranean Sea. The source can be reached on a boat.

After the cruise to the source of the Nile, you will return to the lodge for the evening.

Dinner and overnight at Heaven Uganda Lodge. Meals: Full board

Day 3: White Water rafting:

On the 3rd day of this 18 day Uganda Wildlife Safari, we shall go rafting. This activity is done down the river. After a little briefing, life jackets will be handed out and you will be good to go. Through the different rapids, you will navigate your way. You will be thrown out of the rafts just to be pulled back into the rafts by the safety boats. This will get your adrenaline pumping.

After rafting, we will return and relax at the lodge for the evening at Heaven Uganda Lodge. Meals: Full board

Day 4: Sipi Falls

We will depart Jinja for Sipi falls after breakfast. This is a 4 hour journey that will see you through Mbale. On arrival in Sipi falls, the view will take your breath away. You will check into your lodge, have lunch and relax. You will later go into the local community to see the process of coffee production. You will get to make a cup of coffee for yourself.

After the coffee tour, we will go for a sunset walk. This walk leads to a cliff that allows a romantic sunset and amazing views. We will have a few drinks and enjoy the breeze. Dinner and overnight at Rafiki Sipi Lodge. Meals: Full board

Day 5: Sipi falls tour and abseiling:

After a warm breakfast, we shall venture out and tour the 2 of the 3 water falls that make up sipi falls. We will hike up to the falls and experience nature at its best. The splash of the water from the falls is scenic. We shall visit the 2 waterfalls and abseil from the 3rd. This is the highest and its 100 meters tall. With ropes around our waists, we shall abseil to the bottom of the falls.

After the abseiling, we shall check out of the lodge and depart for Pian Upe game reserve. We shall check into our lodges for the evening. Dinner and overnight at Kara Tunga Lodge. Meals: Full board

Day 6: Game drive and Community cultural visit.

On this day of our 18 day Uganda Wildlife Safari, we will have an early breakfast and set off into the wilderness for a game drive. On this nature walk, we hope to see the roan antelope(other park with this specie of antelope in Uganda), cheetahs, zebra, eland, dik dik, buffalo and many more. We will return and relax at the hotel for the afternoon.

Later in the evening, we will visit the local community and get to learn about their way of life. Here, we will get to experience their traditions such as weddings, foods, dances and cattle raiding. We will retire to the lodge in the evening at Kara Tunga Lodge. Meals: Full board

Day 7; Transfer to Kidepo valley national park.

After a much needed rest, we will depart and head towards Kidepo valley national park. We will enjoy the views of the semi-arid areas of Karamoja. On arrival, we will check into the lodge and relax as we take in the amazing views of Kidepo. Dinner and overnight at Kidepo Savannah Lodge. Meals: Full board

Day 8; Game drive

Proceeding breakfast, we will head out into the park for a game drive. We will visit the narus valley. The vast numbers of buffalo are very thrilling to watch. We shall be able to see lions, cheetah, leopards, elephants, jackals, zebra and many more. This game drive will last up to 4 hours. After the drive, we will return to the lodge for lunch.

A cultural visit is done in the afternoon. This will take us to the karamajong people. Here, we will get immersed in their culture. We will join them in their traditional dances, learn how they make their meals and go about their lives. Later in the evening, we will return to the lodge at Kidepo Savannah Lodge. Meals: Full board

Day 9: Relax at the lodge and evening game drive:

We will take this morning to relax and recuperate from the day’s activities. We will relax at the lodge for the morning. In the afternoon, we will head out to another section of the park for yet another game drive. On this game drive, we hope to see more cheetah, elephants, ostriches and bird species. Here, we will have a chance to visit the hot springs at the boarder of Uganda and Sudan. Dinner and overnight at Kidepo Savannah Lodge. Meals: Full board

Day 10: Depart for Murchison falls.

We will check out of the lodge and head for Murchison falls national park. Making a stop at Aru falls, we will have a chance to jump in and swim in the pools formed by the waterfalls. We will stop in Gulu for lunch before proceeding for Murchison falls. On arrival, we will check into the hotel and enjoy the views of the wilderness. Dinner and overnight at Fort Murchison Lodge. Meals: Full board

Day 11; Game drive and Boat cruise.

After a very start, we will head into the park for a morning game drive. On this drive, we hope to see lions, elephants, giraffes, leopards, hyenas, buffalo, hippos, kobs, oribi, Jackson’s herbeast and many more. We will have a bush breakfast during this game drive. After the game drive, we will have an early lunch as we prepare for an afternoon boat cruise.

The boat cruise takes place on the Albert Nile at the boat is launched at paraa. During the boat cruise, we hope to enjoy a relaxing afternoon as we view wildlife on the boat. We hope to see elephants, hippos, water bucks, crocodiles and bird species like African fish eagle, woodland kingfisher and many more. We will return to the lodge in the evening at Fort Murchison Lodge. Meals: Full board

Day 12; Game drive and top of the falls.

After an early breakfast, we will still go for another morning game drive. This drive gives us a chance to see the animals we may have missed the previous day. More so, we can enjoy the wilderness at our leisure. After the drive, we will have an early lunch and depart for the top of the falls. The view of the top of the falls is magnificent.

The power of the Murchison falls is felt. The Nile River goes through a 7 meter gap and then falls 47 meters into the Albert Nile. The strength of the falls creates a spray of water going up 5o meters. We will take our time, taking pictures and enjoy the strongest falls in the world. Dinner and overnight at Fort Murchison Lodge. Meals: Full board

Day 13: Rhino trekking

After an early start, we will depart Murchison falls for Zziwa Rhino sanctuary. At the sanctuary, we will go through a safety briefing before the trekking. This safari is done on foot and its necessary to know what to do in close quarters with wildlife. We will go on foot until we locate the Rhino families. We will spend some time with them, watching them as they feed. After the trekking, we will have an early lunch.

After lunch, we will proceed to Hoima. This is where we will spend the evening and night at Kikonko Lodge. Meals: Full board

Day 14: Transfer to Kibale.

After a lazy morning, we will transfer to Kibale National Park. On arrival, we will check into the lodge and relax for the afternoon. In the evening, we will embark on a guided nature walk. This walk will see us into the forest where we hope to spot some primates and plenty of bird species. The feel of the forest is felt during this walk. We will retire to the lodge for the evening at Isunga Lodge. Meals: Full board

Day 15; Chimpanzee trekking

On this day of our Uganda Wildlife safari, we will head out to the park headquarter for a briefing before embarking on the chimpanzee trekking. With park rangers and guides, we will head into the forest in search for chimpanzees. Depending on the location of these primates, the trekking can last up to 6 hours.

After the chimpanzee trekking, we will check out of the lodge and head for Queen Elizabeth national park. En route, we will stop to enjoy the views of the crater lakes in Fort Portal and visit the Mabere caves. The Rwenzori Mountains can be seen on this drive. On arrival at Queen Elizabeth national park, we will check into the lodge for the evening at Enganzi Lodge. Meals: Full board

Day 16; Morning Game drive and transfer to Bwindi.

We will check out of the lodge early in the morning as we head out for our morning game drive. On this game drive, we hope to see the famous tree climbing lions. We hope to see elephants, buffalo, kobs, water bucks, hippos and much more. After the game drive, we will continue to Bwindi Impenetrable national park. On arrival, we will check into the lodge for the evening at Ichumbi Gorilla Lodge. Meals: Full board

Day 17: Gorilla trekking.

This highly anticipated safari activity takes place early in the morning. After an early breakfast, we will head to the park headquarters for a briefing and assignment of groups. In our groups of 8, we will head into the forest in search of these gentle giants. Upon making contact, we will spend an hour with them, observing them eat, play and go about their business. Depending on the location of the gorilla families, gorilla trekking can last up to 6 hours.

We will return to the lodge and relax for the afternoon. We will take in the views of the forest on this Uganda Wildlife safari. Dinner and overnight at Ichumbi Gorilla Lodge. Meals: Full board

Day 18: Return to Kampala.

After an early breakfast, we will check out of the lodge and head back towards Kampala. We will take in the views of the hills of Kabale. We will have lunch at Igongo cultural center. At the Equator, we will stop for some refreshment and some photos. On arrival in Kampala, the guide will drop you at your hotel or airport in time for your flight. That will mark the end of your 18 day Uganda Wildlife Safari.
